Volunteer For Us

Volunteers are hugely important to support our commitment and work in protecting Ireland’s wildlife and habitat.

There are many benefits of becoming a volunteer at Cork Nature Network, whether you are looking to expand your network of contacts, increase your knowledge of Ireland’s wildlife and its habitats, learn new skills or give back to the community, you can be confident Cork Nature Network aligns with your interests and environmental goals.

Volunteering is a fun and easy way to explore your interests and passions especially if you are interested in nature, the environment and climate change.    Volunteering opportunities are available from administration to social media and for those who love the outdoors, getting involved in our environmental projects, for example, Beaumont Quarry.

Our volunteers tell us that through volunteering they find the activities meaningful and interesting,  that it is a relaxing, energising escape from their day-to-day routine of work, college or family commitments.

Volunteering will  provide you with a renewed creativity, motivation that can carry over into your personal and professional life.

Other benefits include:

  • Make new friends
  • Expand your network
  • Boost social skills
  • Good for your health and wellbeing
  • Build your skills: teamwork, communication, problem solving, project planning, task management and organisation, to start or advance your career
  • Volunteering brings fun and fulfilment to your life
